At The Coaching Edge, we believe there needs to be a blend of skill development and how to learn. We place an emphasis on how leaders are engaging with and learning from their environments while building key leadership skills. Our Founder

In addition to her Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation and Adler Certificate in Professional Coaching, Loretta holds a Masters of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) Degree and Applied Mindfulness Certificate from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Psychology from Acadia University.

She volunteers her time to mentor graduates of the MIRHR Program at U of T, and serves as Mentor Coach of the charity organization “Up With Women“.

In 2007 Loretta White founded The Coaching Edge to focus on what she does best – helping leaders grow and excel. She enables organizations to engage the full capacity of their employees.

With the increased complexity and uncertainty in the business world today, Loretta thrives on helping her clients to gain a clear, focused mindset and to operate with greater impact and ease in their business and personal lives. She believes that self-awareness and cultivating a creative response are powerful components of leadership success and form the foundation of The Coaching Edge’s work with clients.

Loretta comes from a place of knowing what it is like to navigate complexity and uncertainty over one’s career and has found her own personal power in slowing down to become clear and strategic in how she is being with herself, others and situations. She has gained wisdom from her own leadership experience, mindfulness practice, training in neuroscience, emotional intelligence and coaching, and believes there is great value in learning how to optimize one’s focus, objectivity, response and resilience in any given moment.

Originally from the east coast of Canada, Loretta has a reputation amongst her clients as being down to earth with a discerning ear and inquisitive nature to bring forth clarity and insight. She values respect, trust, integrity and the belief anything is possible, with confidentiality being held at the core of every coaching engagement. Coming from a 15 year corporate career in human resources in dynamic national and international organizations, Loretta has built solid business acumen and leadership development expertise that support her facilitation and coaching success. During Loretta’s corporate experience she created a program that drove a 24% increase in employee commitment within one year. In 2009, she and one of her multi-national clients were recognized with the ICF PRISM Award for driving excellence and achievement through coaching as a leadership strategy.

While Loretta personally delivers many of The Coaching Edge’s programs, she also has a trusted extended team. All coaches are certified through the International Coach Federation, have had past successful careers within the corporate world, and have proven track records in partnering with clients in their success.
